Phil
Minton+Yagihashi Tsukasa + Sato Yukie + Higo Hiroshi¡¶Nippara¡¤Tokyo¡·(Austin
Record ARR-0017)
2006 released. This
CD is played by quartet of Phil Minton, Yagihashi, Sato and Higo. The
first half is recorded at former Nippara elementary school (Tokyo), The
other half is live-recorded at Muryoku-muzenji. The first half is ¡°quietness¡±
and the other is ¡°activity¡±, isn¡¯t it? Sometimes it has cross-inter-play
with unimaginable miracle voice of Phil Minton. However in whole CD quiet
insanity is drifting.

Sato
Yukie ¡¶It's a Rainy Day¡·(Jabrec Korea JK-04)
The second solo
of Sato Yukie is very conceptual work. We can listen to guitar sound distantly
and faintly while rain falls violently. No over dubbing, no mixing operation,
it recorded at once. It was raining out side of window. This is improvised
collaboration with nature. You can feel 1/f and alpha waves. Is this ultimate
healing music, isn¡¯t it?

Choi
Joonyong, Hong Chulki, Sato Yukie ¡¶4462 sec¡·(Balloon
& Needle bnn8)

vol.9, sound of the collaboration with Japanese dancers at the subway
station, and sounds recorded by trio at the end of year 2003. All 4 tracks,
4462 seconds (74 minutes and 22 seconds).
This CD has contents that are rich in change, containing various elements,
such as noise, electronic sounds, improvisations, and drone music. And
we can also listen to powerful sound.

Choi
Joonyong, Hong Chulki, Sato Yukie ¡¶4462 live¡·(Jabrec Korea
JK-03)
This is the live
recording of the above-mentioned album. Album¡¶4462sec¡·is based on directly
line recording, but this uses the live sound source then recorded with
the one spot microphone. It may be interesting when two CDs are heard
and compared.

Choi
Sun Bae + Sato Yukie ¡¶Instant Demo¡·(Jabrec Korea JK-01)
Live recording from
2001 to 2002 in Seoul according to duo with trumpeter Choi Sun Bae.
Sound which flows cool and quiet elegant simplicity. If it appears, it
disappears, and if it disappears, it appears. Just like slowly waves in
a big river. It is ambient jazz meditation.
Choi
Sun Bae + Yamamoto Seiichi + Sato Yukie
¡¶First
Meeting in Seoul¡·(Jabrec Korea JK-02)
Single CD. Recorded
at La Cle (Seoul) in August 2003. Yamamto Seiichi(ex. Boredoms) played
guitar by a bow, and Sato Yukie played CASIO digital guitar DG-7. On the
supreme drone that the two persons were playing, the trumpet of Choi Sun
Bae exploded. It is psychedelic and ambient improvisation.

Toyozumi
Yoshisaburo+Yagihashi Tsukasa+Sato Yukie
¡¶Seoul Subway Live¡·(Jabrec-13)
Live document with
Toyozumi Yoshisaburo, who is one of the pioneers of Japanese free improvisation,
recorded in the subway station of Sadang and Jamsil (Seoul) in April 2001.
It was nothing but sound and echo of a subway station yard. People were
gathering, but they had not known about improvisation, they were just
common people. Toyozumi used only snare drum and Puk (Korean traditional
drum). He run around station yard and played more powerful than usual.
And Sato Yukie played acoustic guitar that amplified by contact pick-up
microphone, Yagihashi Tsukasa blew saxophone with natural echo sound.
You can listen to the exciting play of three.

Yagihashi
Tsukasa+Sato Yukie+Morishuge Yasumune
¡¶Uzumakeru Tenohira-no Uchigawa-no Teien¡·(Jabrec NJ-1)
¡°Sound automatic
drawings¡± - Saxophonist Yagihasi Tsukasa (he is a painter, too) plays.
He draws pictures with pens furnished with the contact microphones, and
amplifies the sound made by drawing. Cellist Morishige Yasumune flips
the other side of a bridge, and scratches strings (and he also amplifies).
Not ordinary sound comes from table guitar that Sato Yukie plays. This
is a noise battle by three persons.

Studio

Yoomija
Set ¡¶Homework 20030829¡·(April
Bomb Records ab0001)
This is a rehearsal
session that we recorded at my home when Yoomija who is a chango player
came to Seoul. Players were Yoomija, Joe Foster, Kang Minsuk, and Sato
Yukie.
Anyhow, various sound comes out of here and there. Musical instruments,
toys, kitchen utensils, a garbage can, a plastic container, etc¡¦anything
in my room was played, flipped, struck and blown.
However, it was nice not to be complicated. There was a contemporary music-scene
as if it was performing seeing a graphic notation. It was in the room
closed in the midsummer. So at last track we played opening the windows.
It ended quietly.
