Sato Yukie's Free Music Works

☆ Bulgasari
Bulgasari is the name of live event series that Sato Yukie started in Seoul 2003. It is the stage of free improvisation, experimental music, avant-garde art, and so on.
Bulgasari makes an important contribution to excavation and cultivation of Korean new artists. Bulgasari collaborates with any kinds of international artists including Korea and Japan. Bulgasari gives places of cultural exchanges and Bulgasari is nonprofit.
The opinion of “Bulgasari” is following.

In Korea we cannot find any underground scene of improvised music, noise music, and so on… And here are no shops that sell CDs & records of that kind of music now.
It is an important cause that people have no chance to listen to that kind of music, and musicians and artists have no chance to play. I think.
Truly are here no musicians? There must be potential artists, must not?
Of cause, we, a few improvisers in Korea, have no place to play here. And I want to find new generation, new young artists. So I have started live series of “Bulgasari”.
I want to make some special stages over genres, not jazz, not rock, not academic…
Do you want to listen to the music nobody heard before, don’t you?

☆ Jabrec（Jabrec Art Music）
When Sato Yukie, Yagihashi Tsukasa(as) and Eizuka Hiroyuki(b) formed a free music group called “YES trio” in Japan 2000, Yagihashi Tsukasa organized “Jabrec Art Music”. Its fundamental members are two persons, Yagihashi Tsukasa and Sato Yukie, now. It has many works of them, CD’s or CD-R’s.
After the breakup of “YES trio” 2002, Yagihashi Tsukasa and Sato Yukie formed trio with Higo Hiroshi(b), that has no name. They have gigs in their own way, for example collaboration with Phil Minton, etc.
